August 20, 2007: Renovations are complete: on schedule and within budget! Thank you for your patience. Both floors are open, with the library entrance on the first floor facing the Great Lawn.

Previously:

The Library will be closed from August 10-19, 2007 as we move back into the first floor. We will reopen on Monday, August 20 with the library entrance in its original location on the first floor facing the Great Lawn.

The Library will be closed from March 24 - April 8, 2007 as we move everything to the second floor. We will reopen on Monday, April 9. During renovation of the first floor, the library entrance will be around the back of the building on the second floor.

All collections will be available again starting 4/9/07 except for most of the Reference Collection, the Char Room, and the Char Collection. Group study rooms will not be available until all renovations are completed.

Starting Monday, October 30, 2006, the second floor of the Library will be CLOSED for repair of the air conditioning system.

The following will be unavailable between October 30, 2006 - April 2007:

• ALL BOOKS on the second floor. This includes the General Collection, Oversize Collection, Japan, Char, and Asian language books.
• 2nd floor study areas, carrels, and tables.
• Group study rooms on both floors.
• Char Room and Char Collection.

Alternatives:

• Use online books and articles through the library's electronic resources.
• Use books in the the Reference and READ Collections on the 1st floor.
• Request books from other libraries in the UH System for pickup at KCC via IntraSystem Loan (ISL).
