These books include all of the library’s printed materials relating to Hawai‘i and some Pacific-related topics. Except for Hawaiian Reference materials, which must be used in the library, these books circulate for 14 days.

There are three different places to find books in the Hawaiian Collection, so please check Location information in the Hawaii Voyager catalog carefully. Books with the Location Hawaiian (1st Floor) are located behind the Reference Desk and can be borrowed for 14 days. Books with the Location Special Collection (Behind Circulation Desk) can be requested by Call Number and borrowed for 14 days. Books with the Location Hawaiian Reference (Behind Circulation Desk) can be requested by Call Number, and can only be used in the library. Write down the Title, Call Number, and Location (Special Collection or Hawaiian Reference) of the book you want and give that information to staff at the Circulation Counter with your KCC ID Card to request the book.
