Login Info

If you are off-campus (at home or any other computer away from KCC), you will be asked to login to use some resources. You only need to login once per browser session. The login looks like this:

Enter your UH Number (8 digits without the hyphen) and your last name, then hit Enter or click the Login button.

Your UH Number is printed on your KCC ID Card. If you do not know your UH Number, you can find it in the upper right of the page after you login to your UH Account.

Why do I have to login?

Some resources are free, but the library pays for subscriptions to the majority of our databases. Our contracts with the database providers say that we must restrict access to KCC users only. If you are not currently affiliated with KCC, you can use resources at one of the public computers in the library, or you may want to check out databases provided through the Hawaii State Public Library System.

Troubleshooting

If you get an error message after entering your UH Number and last name at the login screen, check the following:

  1. Make sure you entered your UH Number without the hyphen, for example: 12345678.
  2. Have you changed your last name recently, or is it hyphenated? Try your old last name, and make sure to update your account at the library. Try your last name with a hyphen between the words, try it with a space, or Contact Us if you still have problems logging in.
  3. Are you currently enrolled or working at KCC? Register your KCC ID Card online or at the Circulation Counter in the library.
  4. Try a different computer. If it works, there is some setting on the first computer preventing you from logging in. Clear your browser's cache, disable Form AutoFill, disable proxy settings. Or, switch to a different browser like Firefox or Chrome.
  5. Are you behind a firewall? Check with your internet service provider.
  6. Contact us. Provide as much detail as possible so we can help troubleshoot: the exact error message you received, etc.
